    • Thank you! Glad you like them 🙂 I’ve been interested in meteorology since I was a little girl so my eyes are often turned skyward!

      • In a past life perhaps 😉 That photo was actually taken the day my husband proposed. He got me a ride in a P-51 Mustang. You won’t believe how well that old bird could still fly – we even pulled a tiny bit of G force. Then when the plane landed, my husband came out of the hanger in his suit. If I could relive one day, it would probably be that one!

      • How interesting. Sounds like you really enjoyed your flight. Those old birds were made to fly through anything. We have a War Birds Over Monroe each year the first weekend in November. They fly out of the small Monroe Airport near Charlotte, and across the fields from where I live.

      • Oh yes my flight was amazing. Once the pilot saw I had a good airplane stomach he took some liberties with that plane. He did some dives over a mountain lake and even a combat turn! I’ve also ridden in a B-24 and a B-17! Love those old War Birds.

    • I do know you love the desert 🙂 it is a pretty magical place!

  1. These sky photos were a true pleasure, M.B. So many different phenomena and a lot of hours of sky studying.
